Forum

The Forum section of the European Reference Laboratory for Marine Biotoxins Control, is a collaborative space designed to foster the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices among National Reference Laboratories, competent authorities, researchers, and professionals in the field.

Forum Objectives

 

  • Facilitate technical and scientific dialogue on analytical methods, validation, quality control, and acceptance criteria.
  • Promote the harmonization of procedures in the monitoring of marine biotoxins.
  • Share regulatory updates and developments in European legislation.
  • Support continuous training and technical capacity building in participating laboratories.
     

Projects

The EURLMB participates in national and international research projects. These include among their main objectives the study of marine biotoxins and harmful algae responsible for toxic episodes or posing a potential risk to public health in the EU:

  • CIGUAADAPT (Adaptation of Ciguatera in Spain and improvement of its management; PID2022-137174OR-C21, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities). Period: 2023-2026.
