2nd NAOS Convention 2008

The 2nd NAOS Convention 2008 was opened on 20 February 2008 by the Minister of Health and Consumer Affairs, Bernat Soria. The two-day meeting in Madrid brought together national and international experts in obesity prevention.

This second edition of the Convention reviewed the actions carried out in all sectors involved in the fight against obesity. There was also a debate on new strategies to bring the promotion of healthy habits and physical activity to other areas, such as the workplace.

The Minister of Health and Consumer Affairs, Bernat Soria, inaugurated the Convention and handed out the 1st NAOS Strategy Awards.
