3rd Conference, 2 July 2025. Food Safety and Climate Change
During this conference, four reports from the Scientific Committee of AESAN were presented, addressing topics related to food safety and climate change. Additionally, there were presentations on climate change and health, sustainability and environmental impact, the transition toward sustainable food systems, and climate change mitigation measures in food production. The event featured the following speakers:

- Pedro Gullón, Director General of Public Health and Health Equity, Ministry of Health.
- Irene Bretón, General University Hospital Gregorio Marañón, Madrid.
- Sonia Marín, University of Lleida.
- Araceli Díaz, Polytechnic University of Madrid.
- Antonio Valero, University of Córdoba.
- Elena Busutil, Director General of Agricultural Production and Markets, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
- María Navarro, Spanish Office for Climate Change, Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
The event also included a roundtable moderated by the President of AESAN, Andrés Barragán, with the participation of: María Neira, Director of the Department of Public Health and Environment, World Health Organization; Pedro Gullón, Director General of Public Health and Health Equity, Ministry of Health; and Ana Rodríguez, Secretary General of Agricultural Resources and Food Safety, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
More than 200 attendees participated in person.
