Genetically modified foods and feed authorised in the EU
Up until 18 April 2004, genetically modified foodstuffs were regulated and approved under Regulation (EC) 258/1997, of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 1997 concerning novel foods and novel food ingredients and, after this date, under Regulation (EC) 1829/2003.
