Products of non-animal origin

 

Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 29 April 2004, on the hygiene of foodstuffs, generally establishes an integrated approach to ensure food safety from the place of primary production up to and including placing on the market or export.

Products of non-animal origin including vegetables, sprouted seeds and shoots and fungi must comply with that established in the afore-mentioned regulation, and with specific applicable legislation.
