20th Anniversary

On June 7, 2023, a Food Risk Assessment Conference was held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the AESAN Scientific Committee.

The Conference was chaired by the Presidents of the Scientific Committee: Dr. Andreu Palou (2003-2010), Dr. Rosaura Farré (2011-2012), Dr. Emilio Martínez de Victoria (2013-2014), Dr. Guillermina Font (2015- 2016), Dr. Montaña Cámara (2019-2020) and Dr. Magdalena Rafecas (2021-2023).

It was opened by the President of the AESAN, Dr. Rafael Escudero Alday, and closed by its Executive Director, Dr. Isabel Peña-Rey Lorenzo.

Presentations in Spanish were given on the Activity of the Scientific Committee (V. Calderón and A. Palou), Risk management measures based on reports from the Scientific Committee (V. Teruel), Food viruses (G. Sánchez), Obesogenic contaminants (A. Rivas ), Sustainable dietary recommendations (E. López), Possibilities for collaboration with the Codex Alimentarius in risk assessment (F. Pérez) and Possibilities for collaboration with the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in risk assessment (V. Villamar).
