8th NAOS Convention 2014
The 8th NAOS Convention and the 7th NAOS Strategy 2013 Award Ceremony were held on 4 November 2014 in the Ernest Lluch conference hall of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
The event began with the eighth edition of the NAOS convention, presided over by a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe, who communicated some of the policies being developed on nutrition, physical activity and obesity prevention.
This was followed by a round table featuring representatives of the Federation of Community Nursing and Primary Care Associations (FAECAP), the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the Alimentum Foundation, the Higher Council for Sport and AECOSAN itself. During the discussion, the representatives presented some of the initiatives, lines of work and studies currently being carried out with the Spanish population, in line with the objectives of the NAOS Strategy: fostering a healthy, varied, moderate and balanced diet, daily physical activity and obesity prevention.
The conference concluded with the 7th NAOS Strategy 2013 Award Ceremony, where awards were handed out by the Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality, Ana Mato, who later closed 8th NAOS Convention.
