PhD in Food Science and Technology and Agricultural Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Scientific Researcher at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology, belonging to the Spanish National Research Council (IATA-CSIC).

The lines of research followed during her scientific career focus on ensuring food microbiological safety through the application of thermal and non-thermal food preservation processes, with a holistic approach, making use of predictive microbiology, characterising both microbial inactivation, as well as sublethal damage and virulence changes as a result of processing.
