Ana María Rivas Velasco

 

PhD in Pharmacy and Graduate in Food Science and Technology. Full Professor of the Department of Nutrition and Bromatology at the University of Granada and Vice-Rector for Quality, Teaching Innovation and Graduate Studies at the University of Granada. Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Nutrition and Food Technology "José Mataix Verdú" (INYTA). Principal investigator of the group AGR 255 EXPODIET: Food exposure to environmental contaminants and of the group E-15 of the Institute of Biosanitary Research of Granada (IBS).

She has carried out stays in foreign universities and research centers for a total of 4 years, including Tufts University in Boston, the Free University of Brussels and the Medical Research Council of Edinburgh, funded by grants such as the Marie Curie of the European Union. This has allowed her to develop a line of research on the effect of exposure to endocrine disruptors on human health. She is principal investigator and collaborator in many international and national projects, and author of numerous scientific publications in this field.
