Sonia Marín Sillué

 

PhD in Agricultural Engineering with Award for Excellence in Doctoral Thesis. Full Professor of Food Technology at the University of Lleida. She has supervised 14 PhD theses, and has participated in 25 competitive research projects, as lead researcher in 4 of them. She has published more than 200 articles in international journals indexed in the Journal Citation Report. She is a member of the editorial boards of several journals on food science.

Her experience and research activity are focused on the area of food microbiology, on aspects related to the presence of mycotoxins in foods, their prevention and control, predictive mycology, decontamination techniques, and risk assessment.

Currently, she is the director of the Department of Food Technology at the University of Lleida and the coordinator of the post-graduate degree programme in Management and Innovation in the Food Industry.
