  • The reports are located in several sections according to their category:
    • Publications: these are general reports.
      • They are located in the "Publications" section, which is in the main menu of its website, located at the top.
      • At the top, there is a report search engine where terms as free text can be entered.
      • The reports are sorted in chronological order from most to least recent (since 2013).
      • You can select the number of reports displayed on the page and also how they are sorted (in chronological order or in alphabetical order of title).
      • The title and publication date appear for each report.
      • By selecting each report, another page opens with an English summary and links to pdf versions of the reports.
    • Applications: these are reports that assess requests made to change the Food Standards Code.
      • They are located in the "Food Standards Code" section, "Applications" subsection, which is in the main menu of its website, located at the top.
      • At the top, there is a report search engine where terms as free text can be entered.
      • There are two search filters:
        • Status: where different options can be selected (any, not applicable, abandoned, current, forum, gazetted, withdrawn).
        • Category: where different options can be selected (any, not applicable, additive, alcohol, allergy, caffeine, claims, contaminants, food, fortification, Genetically Modified, infants, irradiation, labelling, MRLs, novel, processing aid, vitamin and mineral).
      • The number of reports displayed on the page can be selected and also how they are sorted (in chronological order or in alphabetical order of title).
      • The title, status, category, and publication date appear for each report.
      • By selecting each report, another page opens with an English summary and links to pdf versions of the reports.
    • Proposals: these are reports that assess proposals made to change the Food Standards Code.
      • They are in the "Food Standards Code" section, “Proposals” subsection, which is in the main menu of its website, located at the top.
      • At the top, there is a report search engine where terms as free text can be entered.
      • The search filters and the layout of the reports are identical to those in the applications.

  • In this subsection, scientific results and research reports on the fields of public health, animal health, food safety and agriculture are published, in addition to reports with risk assessments.
  • The page content can be displayed in English or in German (the language is chosen by selecting on the top right corner).
  • All reports appear in chronological order (since 2013), and at the top there is a search filter that allows to filter by the following keywords:
    • Veterinary Medicine.
    • Food Safety.
    • Climate.
    • Risk perception.
    • Agriculture.
    • Public health.
    • Drugs.
    • Date: allows to select for each year, or to select that all reports are displayed.
  • For each report in the list, the following appears:
    • Title of the report in English or German, depending on the language selected.

  • The reports are classified by years (since 2007).
  • By selecting on each year, a table opens where the following fields appear (the reports can be sorted by each of these fields):
    • Advice number.
    • Subject of the report in English, French or Dutch, depending on the language selected.
    • Sector: animal/food/plant/various.
  • By selecting on the advice number, a pdf opens with the summary of the report in English, if this language is selected. If the languages of the page are selected in French or Dutch, the pdf contains the full report in these languages.

  • The page content can be displayed in Finnish, Swedish or English (the language is chosen by selecting on the top right corner).
  • The reports are classified by years (since 2001).
  • Within each year, the titles of the reports (in English and Finnish, if English language is selected) and the publication dates appear.
  • By selecting on each title, a pdf opens with the report (if English language is selected, some reports are in English and others are in Finnish).

  • The reports are sorted chronologically.
  • There are search filters that allow you to filter by:
    • Title.
    • Expert Committees.
    • Referral Number.
    • Keyword.
  • A download link of the pdf version in English or French, depending on the language selected, appears next to each report title. If "See more” is selected on, a drop-down window opens where the following information appears for each report: report type (report, opinion, etc.), signature date, online publication date, expert committee, keywords, etc.

  • Firstly, there is an introductory paragraph that explains what risk assessments are.
  • All reports appear in chronological order (since 2014).
  • For each report there is the English title and a link to a pdf with the report in English. Furthermore, the following data appears when selecting on the + symbol of each report:
    • Type: technical paper, report, guidance, etc.
    • Subject: publications, human health surveillance, food safety, etc.
    • Publication date.

  • The reports are located in the " Espaço público" section, which is in the main menu at the top of the website. By selecting, a drop-down opens where "Publicações" can be selected and then select in " Riscos e Alimentos ".
  • In this subsection, they publish the "Riscos e Alimentos” journal, which is published every six months and is focused on the evaluation and communication of risks in the food chain.
  • The page content is displayed in Portuguese.
  • The journal issues appear in chronological order (since 2011), classified by year.
  • For each journal issue, the edition number appears (by selecting the edition, the journal is downloaded in pdf) and the title in Portuguese. The reports are in Portuguese (with a summary that is also translated into English).
  • The last issue that appears is from 2021.

  • The reports are made by independent Scientific Advisory Committees.
  • Each Advisory Committee has a website, which can be accessed by selecting "Our work", which is located in the main menu located at the top. Then, the "Science and evidence" section can be selected, where it says "Science Committees".

1. SCIENCE COUNCIL (SC)

  • Its reports are in the "Reports" section, which is located in the main menu located at the top. Next, select "Science Council advice to the FSA".
  • By selecting over the titles of each report, a new page opens where the download links of the pdf with the reports are located.

2. ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON NOVEL FOODS AND PROCESSES (ACNFP)

  • Its reports can be found in the “Committee Advice Documents” section, which is located in the main menu located at the top.
  • By selecting the titles of each report, a new page opens where the report is located as well as the download link of the pdf version.

3. ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE MICROBIOLOGICAL SAFETY OF FOOD (ACMSF)

  • Its reports are in the "Reports" section, which is located in the main menu located at the top. Then you have to select on "Technical Reports".
  • All reports appear in chronological order (since 1992). To access them, you have to select "National Archives website", and a new page opens where the download links of the pdf with the reports are located.

4. COMMITTEE ON TOXICITY (COT)

  • Its reports are in the “Statements and Opinions” section, which is located in the main menu at the top. Then select "COT Statements and Position papers".
  • Two options can be selected:
    • Show reports sorted alphabetically (A-Z). By selecting, links to groups of letters (ABC, DEF, etc.) appear. By selecting on any of these groups, reports grouped by each letter (A, B, C, etc.) appear. If selected above the letter, another page opens where the titles of each report appear which, when selected over them, a new page opens where a brief description of the report appears, as well as the link to the report in pdf version.
    • Show reports sorted by year. By selecting, links to year groups (2021-2025, 2016-2020, etc.) appear. By selecting from any of these groups, reports grouped by year appear. If selected over the year, another page opens where the titles of each report appear with the link to the pdf version of the report.

5. ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON ANIMAL FEEDINGSTUFFS (ACAF)

  • Its reports are in the "Reports" section, which is located in the main menu located at the top. Then select "ACAF Assessments".
  • The report titles appear. When they are selected, the report text appears, as well as a download link of the pdf version.

6. COMMITTEE ON CARCINOGENICITY OF CHEMICALS IN FOOD, CONSUMER PRODUCTS AND THE ENVIRONMENT (COC)

  • Its reports are in the "Publications" section, which is located in the main menu located at the top. Then select "Statements and guidance statements".
  • The reports are grouped in the following categories:
    • Watching briefs.
    • Guidance statements.

    • Annual reports.
