A series of visits to the National Food Centre (CNA) has been organised for the first quarter of 2017. These include the visit on 16 February of students from the last years of study at the University of Alicante Faculty of Science.

The training activity is intended to provide practical training for participants in food safety analysis and official controls.

To enable all the students to attend and allow them to satisfactorily visit the laboratories at the Centre, and see for themselves how the test equipment operates, the activity has been scheduled for small groups of eleven or twelve students at a time.

The technical units which were visited at the CNA are those related to the areas of interest proposed by the university, based on the subjects currently taken by the students. These included the Pesticides Service, the Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Toxins Service and the Food Microbiology Service.
