In October, the Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition (AECOSAN) published on its Web 14 notifications received through the Alert Network because they may pose a serious risk to consumers. Of these, 1 were detected at the border and their import rejected, whereas a further 13 were withdrawn from the market and banned from trade

MOST NOTIFIED PRODUCTS

Toys (5), and Electrical products (4) received the highest number of notifications. In the case of toys, due to the special monitoring to which they are subject by the inspection services as they are intended for a vulnerable population and in vehicles and accessories, the monitoring performed by the producers themselves.

The risks posed are the consequence of the irregularities observed.
