Document approved for the improvement of the application of the Hygiene Package in farm-based and artisan cheeses

The Institutional Commission of the Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition (AECOSAN), at their meeting on 12 July, approved a document for the improvement of the application of the Hygiene Package in farm-based and artisan cheeses, drafted by the Spanish Network of Farm-based and Artisan Cheeses.
This document has been studied by a working group in which the Autonomous Communities, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and the Environment and the AECOSAN took part. The objective is to clarify certain areas of the food hygiene laws in order to obtain harmonised application, and to facilitate its application on small cheese farms.
