The Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition included 28 alerts for non-food products in April on its Web.

- Most of these notifications were for Vehicles and Accessories and Toys.
- For ten of these, the possible risk was reported and corrected by the manufacturer; and the remaining units were withdrawn from the market.
In April, the Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition (AECOSAN) published on its Web 28 notifications received through the Alert Network because they may pose a serious risk to consumers. Of these, 4 were detected at the border and their import rejected, whereas a further 14 were withdrawn from the market and banned from trade
For the remaining 10, it was the manufacturer who, as required by law, notified the consumer authorities of the existence of possible risks in their products and took the necessary actions to reduce these.
MOST NOTIFIED PRODUCTS
Vehicles and accessories (9) and Toys (7) received the highest number of notifications. In the case of toys, due to the special monitoring to which they are subject by the inspection services as they are intended for a vulnerable population and in vehicles and accessories, the monitoring performed by the producers themselves.
The risks posed are the consequence of the irregularities observed.
