On 3 and 10 October, two editions of a workshop for the training of professionals from Autonomous Communities and Laboratories were held at AECOSAN. The workshops were given by Technical Experts from the Deputy-Directorate General for Food Safety Promotion.
During the workshops, emphasis was placed on the need to collect detailed information about these substances for the assessment and management of food risks.
In order that this data is of top quality and consistent in a European context, the information should be collected following a system established by the European Food Safety Authority.
The operation of a new electronic application for covering these requirements was explained at the workshop. The workshop focussed on the description of the samples, with the introduction of a national catalogue created by AECOSAN for this purpose and practical cases were carried out.
Both editions were of great interest to AECOSAN and the participants, who actively took part with their opinions and recommendations.
